Last night’s concert by the Keith Jarrett Trio was absolutely outstanding, giving me refreshing perspectives and ideas.

昨夜のキース・ジャレット・トリオのコンサートは文句なしに素晴らしかったです。創作に新風を吹き込んでくれました。

This is what I started with… a vintage Canon 50 mm viewfinder.   

はじまりはこれ。年代もののキャノン50 mm用ファインダー。

 I really enjoyed letting my imagination run wild, using the right brain.  

右脳を駆使し、イマジネーションの暴走を楽しみました。

I got a piece of USB-PS/2 mouse adapter.

USB-PS/2マウスアダプターがひとつ。












And it turned into a clown as I listened to Tatsuro Yamashita's "Circus Town."

山下達郎の「サーカスタウン」を聴いていたら、ピエロができました。

It's a song released back in '79 but it sill revs me up!

リリースされたのは79年（当時高校生）ですが、未だにこの曲を聴くと気持ちがハイになります。

It’s fun to sit down and figure out what I can do with remaining parts. 

残ったパーツでなにができるか…頭を捻ってそれを考えるのもまた楽しいものです。

Report on the Tetote Handmade Award 2013

The 37th Japan Hobby Show 2013 is expected to attract more than 130,000 visitors. I was, however, surprised to see more buyers than visitors today, queuing up for tickets.

第37回日本ホビーショー2013の予想来場者数は延べ13万人以上。でも、チケットの列には一般入場者よりもバイヤーの方が多い感じで、ちょっと驚きました。

I honestly can't remember the last time I got a prize.

正直言って、最後に表彰されたのはいつだったか．．．思い出せません。

All of the winners from among 7,439 entrants are honored to be recognized for the award.

応募総数7,439点の中から選ばれたことは本当に光栄なことです。

A whole range of amazing handicrafts are available for sale, some of which really inspired me.

ありとあらゆるハンドメイド品が販売されています。そのうちのいくつかに大いに触発されました。








追伸：応募総数7,439点という数字が意味するものは想像以上に重かったです。久々に表舞台に上がり、アドレナリン全開でした。それにしても会場は凄い熱気。デジタルで安易にものづくりができる今だからこそ、地味で愚直な手作業の価値が再認識されているのではないでしょうか。開催は今週土曜（27日）まで。一見の価値ありです。
